Each subject to focus on a different revision skill at least each term or topic. 

 

Aim to learn different skills for different subjects. 

Current affairs session used 4 weeks prior to assessment week to look at revision timetables, healthy revision habits, how to set up a place to revise 

Subject revision resources uploaded as homework during the year and to support the 4 week “countdown”. 

 

Sparx maths package – independent maths activities, as well as homework.

Aim for subjects to direct students to specific revision skills during topics and to encourage the use of the resources during the lesson especially for the technique for answering questions or to aid with recall. Encourage the using of exercise books. 

 

Aim to marry up techniques during fortnight PD session to use and practice in subject areas.

Lessons focusing on specific skills and knowledge needed for the assessment 

 

Encourage the use of resources like flashcards in the lesson; students to be more independent in choosing appropriate methods of revision or preparing useful aides de memoirs; 

Aim to have a majority of “made resources” like mind maps and flash cards in yr10 so yr11 can focus on exam technique/past papers.
