Admissions Policies 2026-2027 for consultation

On behalf of the Governing Body of The Gilberd School, please see below the proposed admission arrangements and Supplementary Information Forms (SIFs) for academic year 2026-27.

This consultation relates to proposed changes to the policy which include:

1) Published Admission Number (PAN) set at 320.

2) Amendment to Priority C Musical Aptitude criterion extending the right of application to Tendring and Colchester Borough. This is being proposed to address the current situation in which prospective parents living in nearby areas to the east of the school are currently unable to apply under this criterion.

The six-week consultation period will run from Tuesday 26th November 2024 to Tuesday 7th January 2025.
